Inside the NBA

Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors season got off to a very slow start this season, but the Raps had a very promising end to their 2012/13 season. Led by Demar DeRozan and the recent acquisition of Rudy Gay, the team has came together and looked poised to make a playoff run next year. With a new general manager it should be a very exciting offseason as the Raps continue to improve the roster.

Dallas Mavericks
After finally breaking through years of playoff disappointment and winning the NBA Championship in 2010, the Dallas Mavericks and it’s colourful owner Mark Cuban look to take back their Championship. Dirk Nowitski will be looking to carry his team back to the promise land in 2013/14 season. An important part might be the signing of big Free Agent Dwight Howard. If the Mavs land him they are an instant favourite to win the championship.

Oklahoma City Thunder
Led by NBA All-stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, the OKC Thunder had been fantastic all season. An unfortunate knee injury to Westbrook threw a wrench in OKC’s plans for a championship this season. With a fully healthy team for the beginning of next season, the Thunder look to win their first championship in NBA history.

Los Angeles Lakers
After a dreadful start to the season and an early season coaching change it looked like the Los Angeles Lakers were coming together at the right time. An ankle injury to Kobe Bryant in the first round of the playoffs changed all of that and saw the Lakers season come to an end. With a healthy Kobe back in the mix next season, he looks to win his 6th championship and go down as one of the best players ever.

Miami Heat
The Miami Heat are looking for a 3-repeat as NBA Champions in 2013. After winning their second title in a row in dramatic fashion it will be a tough task to knock off the Heat in the post-season but that’s why they play the games! The Big 3 are looking for 3 straight! Can they do it?
